If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, than the 5 bad habits you should break now, likely support this belief. Are you guilty?
1. Meaningless Relationships- Whether it’s family, friends, or a romantic partner, if your personal relationships have grown meaningless, it might be time to reconsider whether or not they’re worth investing in. If you’re spending more time arguing than you are getting along, take a look at the stress that’s likely placing in your life. Since over 99% percent of all illnesses are linked to stress, do yourself and your health a favor and bid farewell.
2.Get off Social Media- While social media can be an entertaining outlet to catch up with family and friends, it can truly suck the true happiness from your real life. Seeing your family or acquaintances living what appears to perhaps be a more fortunate life can lead you to feeling ungrateful. And you really don’t need to keep tabs on your ex. Turn off the computer and tune into the real world.
3. Working for a Paycheck- Now this is a tricky subject. Most people need to work, and that reason is usually always for the monetary reward. However, if you have zero passion in your job and you dread the thought of waking up and punching in, or if you have nothing good to say about your boss or your co-workers, then why on earth are you living each day miserably? Find a new career, or learn to appreciate what you have.
4. Clinging to the Past- Past hurts and disappointments are toxic. While it’s normal to look back on your life events and relationships, living there is an entirely different story. Try not to revisit the people or things that make you feel melancholy or depressed. Try to see all of your experiences as a teacher, and look for the lesson instead of reliving all the pain.
5. Treating Your Body Poorly- You already know if this applies to you. If you’re filling your body with junk food or poisons, you’re affecting more than just your inner health. Your complexion, energy levels, and even your mood are at the mercy of what you put into your mouth. Limit your alcohol intake, quit smoking, remove junk foods from your diet, and opt for adequate sleep and exercise.
Once you break any of these 5 bad habits, you’ll certainly experience some improvements in your daily, especially in your self-confidence. After all, it takes courage to make a change, and with a great change comes reward.
